Este valioso reconocimiento fue otorgado al investigador colombiano Diego Amorocho por la Universidad de Monash, Australia, en el año 2009 por su trabajo de tesis titulado “Foraging Ecology and Population Structure of the Green Sea Turtle (Chedonia mydas) in the Eastern Pacific Coast of Colombia” el cual fue completado el pasado año bajo la supervisión of Dr. Richard Reina.
